Luckymatrix is a Lisbon-based content and technology company combining film and TV production, international sales, and a tech division delivering streaming platforms and other digital solutions for the entertainment industry, including its latest deployment: Amavizion, a brand-new UK pay‑per‑view streaming platform. The company is registered with the Portuguese Instituto do Cinema e Audiovisual (ICA).

Among the award-winning titles represented by Luckymatrix are HBO Max’s Oxygen Masks Will (Not) Drop Automatically (dir. Marcelo Gomes & Carol Minêm), Iran’s official 2025 Academy Awards submission In the Arms of the Tree (dir. Babak Khajeh Pasha), and the Polish feature documentary Life & Deaths of Max Linder (dir. Edward Porembny),slated for theatrical release in Poland and France in early 2026.
Luckymatrix also develops and packages feature films and series from premium IP, including Peter Millar’s UK bestseller 1989: The Berlin Wall – My Part in Its Downfall, Alix Sharkey’s true-crime memoir My Brother the Killer, and ELECTROONS, Janardhana Swamy’s topical AI/robot-revolution comic strip series
The company has also signed significant co-production and co-development deals with companies such as
INDEPROD for feature movies "Mr. Morgan and "Behind to be shot in the autumn 2024. And, co-produced by INDEPROD and Belgium Tarantula, the 10-hour TV crime drama series "Décade", set in 1980s Paris and written by ex-cop and auteur Patrice Henri (Mémoire d'un Flic Infiltré) and veteran drama screenwriter Marc Rosati (Police District)..
In addition to its production work, Luckymatrix a strategic partnership with Indian high-tech company
Alphanso Technology. The two companies are collaborating to develop and market innovative digital services for the art, culture, and entertainment industry. Phil Ox, as Luckymatrix's producer and tech head, and Gaurav Kanabar, and the brand new Luckymatrix's chief technologist in charge of digital content and platforms, are leading this effort to create ProduThing an ecosystem of interconnected apps for the creative community in Europe and beyond.

Mayerly Marquez Ramirez, Mayerly Marquez Ramirez, founder of Luckymatrix, holds a law degree from the University Rafael Belloso, Maracaibo, Venezuela. She is the CEO of Luckymatrix and oversees production, post-production, and digital across the company’s portfolio.​
She studied editing at Soho Editors in London. She is an FCPX and Avid expert, with strong skills in colour correction and grading, Motion 5, and Adobe After Effects.​ She specializes in comedy and fiction, and also enjoys editing music and dance, travel shows, and unusual documentaries. Her recent work includes Esther Huss’s film In My Silence, and she served as chief editor of the digital romcom Match Not Found, a Best UK Web Series selection at Raindance.

Phil Ox, is co-founder of Luckymatrix, where he works as a film & television producer and international sales agent representing award-winning titles such as HBO Max’s Oxygen Masks Will (Not) Drop Automatically (dir. Marcelo Gomes & Carol Minêm) and Iran’s official 2025 Academy Awards submission In the Arms of the Tree (dir. Babak Khajeh Pasha).
A former film critic and music journalist turned producer and sales executive, Phil has led projects across scripted, factual and digital formats and worked with broadcasters and platforms including Canal+, Channel 4, BBC, Nickelodeon and MTV. He is also active in the international market circuit, with Luckymatrix present at key industry events such as Cannes and the Berlinale. As a director/producer, Phil has directed and produced more than 300 episodes of scripted television, managed over €25m in production budgets, and sold fiction in more than 110 countries to major broadcasters including SIC, Canal Plus, France Télévision, BBC, MTV, Nickelodeon, Italia 1, Antena 3, C4 NZ, CTC Network, Starz and Fox Comedy. His technical and production experience spans formats from 35mm to 3D and 4K, as well as studio operations, VFX/mocap workflows, and broadcaster delivery.​ Phil has received a Director Prize from Fondation Hachette and a Best C21 Digital Drama nomination. At Luckymatrix, he also serves as producer and tech head in the company’s partnership with Alphanso Technology to develop digital content and platform solutions for the arts and entertainment sector (ProduThing).

Gaurav Kanabar, Gaurav Kanabar is the newest addition to the team at Luckymatrix, where he serves both as an associate producer in charge of co-production and distribution within the Asian region and the Chief Technologist for Digital Content and Platforms. Gaurav holds a BE in Electronic Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College, located in the heart of India's Silicon Valley in Bangalore. This area is known for its vibrant tech and startup scene, and Gaurav has leveraged his knowledge and expertise to deliver innovative digital tools for clients such as Pinnacle Hip Hop Radio, Jamaicans Music, Paytix, Immassive, Gateway Stream Media, and more.
